We have applied the Questionnaire provided by the OSSATE project to Hotel Segas.
DISABLED GUESTS AT
HOTEL SEGAS: Although our little
hotel is very aware of disability issues and disabled travellers friendly we are
unfortunately inaccessible as each room has been designed individually at a time
that accessibility legislation and practice was poor. Nevertheless we will do
everything possible to provide our services to disabled travellers and their
accompanying persons. Only the very small wheelchairs can get into the elevator
(entry 55cm) and we feel that the hotel is suitable for guests that can step out
of their wheelchair and go up one step (20cm). We feel that we are close to the
M2 classification of the British National Accessibility Scheme. There is one
step to the front door of the hotel (and a movable ramp if required) and an
elevator to all floors. All rooms are in our 4 floors. Bathroom entrances and
space vary in each room. Bathrooms cannot take wheelchairs. However, the hotel
is within easy access to everything in Loutraki and Loutraki is very accessible
with lots of ramps around. There are ramps up to the middle of the beach too.
Once on the main road in front of the hotel the beach is about 300 meters away.
In fact we have a small number of regular disabled customers, who use small
wheelchairs and who come every year
and enjoy themselves.
If you are a full
time wheelchair user you may like to see the specifically designed apartments

The hotel is 300 metres from the beach front. On the right side there is the small port where leisure boats leave for daily excursions. There is a little beach there but it does not have a ramp. On the right hand side, after about 200 m of accessible promenade there is the main Loutraki beach with a properly designed ramp that goes half the way on to the beach. There are lots of restaurants and cafes on the promenade most of which are accessible (although most will have inaccessible toilets).
Just opposite the hotel there is an accessible small super market that will cater for most of your grocery and toiletry needs. The Loutraki Spa centre is about 500 m from the hotel on the right hand side. A number of treatments are offered there.
